Needs to be an evening date. City centre preferably.
    Nothing like drinks or dinner.

    Something fun, carnival etc.

But if you're on a first date don't sit at the front!

Downstairs in the Bankers Bar on Trinity Street has an improv comedy night on Fridays, it's really good! Starts at 9 o'clock. http://www.thecraicpack.com/the-bankers

Pixto tapas beside the irish Film Centre. Relaxed, reasonable priced food and wine. Nice first date setting.

Get a cocktail in Harrys or 37 Dawson street. (VCC if you've loads of money).
They're impressive and makes it easy to talk

It seems the nothing like drinks or dinner seems to have been ignored! I would second the VCC though its a little bit different from your bog standard go for a drink somewhere and would impress on a first date.

I did the walk over the O2 in London and it was pretty cool for something different the sky line tour at Croker would be different!

VCC is good, not expensive as people make out, well worth the 11e a pop, seriously worth it, and this is coming from someone who would consider himself to have a mild drinking problem

Don't see the attraction to VCC myself. Way overpriced imo for what you get. Wasn't impressed with my Old Fashioned's anyway.

Laughter Lounge is probably a decent bet, I'd be a fan of the Zoo too. Can't go wrong with being a tourist in your own City either - do one of the tour buses and stop off at the Storehouse/GAA Museum etc.

A few pints, bag of chips and a good ride normally does it for me.

Jokes aside, I think the Ghost Tour is an exceptional idea.

The Brazen Head do a 3 course candlelit dinner, it's a irish folklore and storytelling dinner.

It's pretty cool, but maybe a third date thing.
