Can anyone recommend an engineer to service an oil boiler please?

We get our oil from Emo and they had a flyer about servicing, you could give them a call and see if they still recommend them.

We got them out and found them where much better than a local company(Plumtech) who basically took the cover off and cleaned the sutt or whatever the name of it is.

The emo place went through it all, giving it a proper going over and even fitted a free replacement pipe and told us that the boiler sounded ruff and could go soon, but didn’t do so to get a job of installing a new one.

When enquiring about having your oil boiler serviced ask them if they are Oftec registered or Blueflame certified. Neither is a legal requirement but it shows they know what they are supposed to be doing.
Also ask them if they will be carrying out a flue gas analysis and can they provide you with a copy of the printout, which should display the day and date.
A proper procedure service will save you money and prolong the life of your boiler.
