Limited access - The desktop I have upstairs is as it's connect from the router to a ethernet cable But downstairs the laptop is wireless & keeps asking me for to put in to connect. What key/pin are they looking for?

Check the bottem of your modem for a sticker with the Wifi/WLAN security key.

If you can't find it, post back make/model of your modem and name your internet service provider.

Windows 7 checks the hardware for a QSS (Quick Security Setup) Pin code but it's not necessary - you can just click the option to use the security key instead.
