Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

scroll down the description as this is typical argos, they jack the price up for one day and then reduce it giving the customer the impression it is a huge discount!

    Lego snob alert!

I wouldn't like to taint my current lego collection with Mega Bloks. An easy statement to make as an adult but I had the same opinion when I was much younger. They're just not the same.

Cue cries of "No recession in your house".

There was a time that non-Lego building blocks were useless (when we were growing up) but having played with my step-son with Mega Bloks he got as presents, there's nothing between them nowadays. Different colours sure but they inter-lock with standard lego and work just as well. I'd imagine it's something to do with the patents on Lego expiring making them easier to copy now.

In some ways, many of the Mega Bloks kits are actually closer to the older style of Lego where all parts can be re-imagined into something else. Lego went down an awful path of designing kits that relied on specialist pieces that were useless for building anything other than the kit they came with. To be fair, they seem to be reversing from this in recent years but I don't see any reason other than snobbery to avoid mega blocks at this stage. Some of the other knock-offs are absolute garbage alright but the Mega Bloks are fine.

I did say i was a Lego snob, but fair play if they work together now then great. They used to be terrible.

Cheers Op, picked some up just there. Are these too small for a 2 year old? I'm sure I can find a home for them anyway if they are.

Thanks OP. I just picked up a box now. The girl stamping my receipt couldn’t believe it was priced 12.49 … so I told her to check out this forum as I have picked up many the bargain thanks to the eagle eyed posters!!!

It’s not the set as shown in the catalogue, (why it annoys me I don’t know), but I’m sure my little girl will love it. Like a review on the Argos site says… she’ll be delighted to have some pink blocks instead of her brothers stuff.

Im trying to order this into Ahtlone. It says I can order it the whole way through, until I confirm and it says Out of stock

I get an email thanking me for my reservation, but no reservation number

    No text message.

Is anyone else getting the same?

Sounds like you may be ordering it in for collection rather than reserving it?
