There are a few WiFi enabled plugs available that can be controlled (e.g. the thing plugged into them can be turned on and off remotely) using the company's phone apps, such as:
What I'm looking for is the same thing, but with an API available so I could write code to control the plug turning on and off. Does anyone know of such a device that I could buy? Preferably in a UK 220volt socket (a lot of even the Phone App controlled plugs are US pins/110 volt).

    Thanks,
    Conor.
