    Hey folks,

I dropped out of college in 2007 after I got up to my neck in debt and couldn't afford to pay it off. I had done first and second year of my degree (primary teaching) - had failed one exam in the first semester of 2nd year and didn't do any in the second semester.

Anyway, I've been on to the college about going back, with a view to starting again as a mature student, but they've said that I've to go down the readmission route. Seeing as how I've been out of the system for over 5 years, will I be eligible for free fees if I start 1st year all over again? And would I be eligible for a grant?

Sorry now, the college are due to come back to me next week, but now I'm having a mini-freak out over this so would appreciate if anyone could give me some advice.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

You should be eligible as a second chance student for fees and grants because its over 5 years.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

That's what I'm hoping! Is it a certainty or would each college have their own individual policy?
