Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi we're renovating a 1970's bungalow. Alot of insulation providers are offering deals for insulation plus a new oil boiler. We are also upgrading the plumbing and heating system. Are we better off getting the plumber to also fit a new boiler when he's doing the heating or does it matter?

Get a plumber who can commission a new boiler using a flue gas analyser. This is important. And I'd strongly reccomend a powerflush of your old system and have a good quality inhibitor added after. Also reccomend a magnetic filter for the boiler

You should be in line for the SEAI grants also for insulation, boiler and controls

All of what Dtp1979 said. I would go with the plumber. I have found corners cut by these all in one companies who do everything.

The boiler has to be sized correctly and commissioned. The plumber NEED'S a flue gas analyser for that.
