Power Cut this afternoon

    Seems to have been pretty major, Woodies McDonalds, St Bridgets charity shop area, no power and traffic lights out, McDonalds closed up their car park with barriers round 4pm as it looks like they weren't expecting power back anytime soon.

    Saw the lights were out at the bottom of bunkers hill and topaz was shut too. Thought it was really weird. This was around 3pm.

    not a word tonight about it on wlrfm..very strange, you wouldn't mind if there had been a storm or something. Superquinn had power all right.

    Don't know when you were listening to the radio, quite possible it wasn't mentioned later on in the evening, but I did hear Ollie speak about it for a minute or two during Drive-Time this evening.
