I'd say it has to do with the age profile of boardsies. I know for myself I view that era as a golden one for tag team wrestling, of which TLC was a major part. I remember the Road Warriors etc., but was too young to really appreciate them. EDIT: and this is about favourites, rather than the "best" tag teams, which explains some of the shocking results.

Going against the trend here. I loved Team Xtreme. Their music, their movement, their ridiculously risky spots.

    Matt and Jeff for me.

Neither are even close to the Steiners, Road Warriors or Team 3D.

Think people are voting based on TLC and nothing else.

    Close how?

Both teams had a great following and made a massive impact in a time when WWE was part of pop culture, well deserving of their places in this type of poll.

The Hardys would have been my favourite at the time and they get my vote here

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

I'd have to side with team Xtreme here myself. Their tables match with the Dudley Boys at Royal Rumble 2000 is one of my favourite memories. Jeff hitting the Swanton bomb off the balcony with the NYC taxi in the background lives long in my memory. Plus Lita was cool.

    Hardy Boyz

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,753 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

    Edge and Christian for me

Loved both teams though, but as ive got older Id prefer E and C

The Brood boys beat the Hardyz. Looks like the final will be a bit of an R Rated peep show. The next matchup is a real barney. The APA VS Team 3D. Fascinating to think the success' even though they were great out and out Tag teams that all seperate members achieved in all cases.

The APA, think ill be on my own though

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

    Not on your own Joe

I'm gonna go for Farooq and Bradshaw, the APA too. Both members were going absolutely nowhere when they were teamed up under The Jackyl as Hell's Henchmen. From there they found success as Undertakers Acolytes , his punishers for the Ministry of Darkness.

They found their greatest success as blue collar guns for hire. An absolute riot backstage with their 'office', they were also a force to be reckoned with in the ring.

Dudley's 100%. I love the APA though, and I'm delighted to see that they made it to the semi finals, but simply put Bubba and D'Von are one of the elite tag teams that have done it all. In terms of "the best", I'd rank them above LOD any day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,773 ✭✭✭connemara man

    The Dudleys for me.

the APA were great but the Dudleys for me were the tagteam

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,728 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Loved the APA, really glad to see they have done so well but The dudleys are my pick to win the thing and get my vote here

    Dem Damn Dudleys.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,728 ✭✭✭bigron2109

The Dudleys for me as they had some spectacular matches with the Hardys and Edge and Christian.

But i did love APA And their interviews and Skits too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

I loved APA but I gotta go with the Dudleys.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭Machismo Fan

Dudleys by a long way, honestly I'm a little surprised the APA made it this far.
