Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As a defender? Kelly surely should be in there

I'd assumed something is wrong with Kelly. I think we need a semblance of a threat from our full back and I'd prefer Sterling to Flanagan.

Flanagan is a model for a red :(

You'd have to reckon that Coutinho will be on at half time and Hendo moved wide right.

Akpom on the bench? Could be a chance to make a name for himself if anything happens to Mister Handsome.

Arsenal to take the lead, Liverpool to end game 4-4-2/ 4-3-3 with Toure at right back and leaving everything too little, too late.

    Furious with Flannagan starting tbh.

With Wilshere out now too the bench is back to being very weak in attack :(

Still scratching my head over that Flanagan selection. Rodgers never seemed all that keen to play him before (even against crap teams) yet there he is today.

Our bench is better so hopefully well still be in it to utilise coutinho/moses etc... As the game drags on.

Yet another Rodgers brain fart. Not happy at all. Anyway...I'm off out to watch it. Behave children.

Flanagan will either get sent off, give away a peno, or both.

Let me be the first to say Flanagan is a baffling decision! Seriously Kelly just seems to be always on the bench or injured.

Arsenal will rip both wing backs apart.

    Screwed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,748 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

For all the 'Pool fans going mad: just remember that Arsenal have no wingers available. If there was any day to lose your wing back and it not be monumental its probably this one. Arsenal will be narrow

    We will miss Flamini though.

Very easy for S&S to catch us out on a break a la Dortmund.

Arteta will have to play out of his skin today tracking runs behind our central defenders.

I'll take 1-0 for the Arsenal but I'm not convinced

Surely we could have started with Kelly and brought Agger on and shifted Toure to right back if needed?

Flannagan better show the form that had Fiorentina so interested in him.

I don't think Kelly is suited to wing-back to be honest but Flanagan is a lad that will probably be playing in the championship or league one in 2 years time.

If Liverpool ever needed their captain, its this evening.

Any time I've seen Kelly play my main criticism would be that he gets caught too far forward.....any time I have watched Flannagan my criticism would be how the f*ck is he a professional footballer?

We want a draw I think. But that's boring, so I'll hope for a Pool win.

Liverpool attempting to blind the Arsenal players with their horrific jerseys.

That's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off for them.
