Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone any idea if the video call function uses WiFi or 3G?

Been trying to video call but it just says sorry out of 3g coverage. It happens sometimes but after a few tries it will work. Just this morning it refuses to work!

Any ideas on how to fix this or does anybody know a good app with free video calling?

Have you tried using Google hangouts?

I've used it before on Wifi.

I've never gotten a good result from Google Hangouts. I have to be missing something simple. Loads of people recommend it but it's always been hit and miss for me. e.g. frequently I have the other persons phone in my hand. Logged into hangouts and on my phone they still show up as offline and the phone doesn't ring when I try ringing them.

I use Skype mostly now. It shows when the other party is online and connects pretty much 100% of the time. Deady handy for text messaging too.

Thanks for the help. And just another thing, I downloaded Skype but for the life of me could not find the video calling option! And do you not have to buy Skype credits?

I'm not sure if you need credit. I do have some as I ring phones abroad quite a bit.

I've attached a screenshot here of mine. The video button is just in the bottom left. I don't remember doing anything special to get it. I know it doesn't show up if the recipient can't receive it (the Echo / Sound Test Service contact only shows the phone icon).
