Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Battery maintenance/ remote terminals

So I was about 80 miles from home in deepest West Cork with the Mille last week and when I got onto the bike in the morning, after almost starting once or twice, it just wouldn't go. Eventually, after waking the neighbours and hunting around for a ten spanner for the seat and a set of jump leads, I got to work an hour and a half late.

Milles are notorious for battery problems (that often contribute to requiring an expensive starter failure) so I'm going to upgrade the to a Motobatt or similar but I'm also thinking about battery maintenance and the possibility of maybe extending some battery cables up under the seat in case it fails to start again.

    Any suggestions?
