Those credits every mission need to **** off.

They really spoil it don't they. Especially when I see skull face on the credits, I actually kinda love skull face tbh would prefer if his appearances were kept a surprise.

Anyone playing on the Xbox One able to connect to the servers yet? I keep getting a message stating they are down for maintenance.

Got on about 10 -15 minutes ago.

Managed to sneak in (see what I did there?!) another couple of hrs of play last night. Had worked my way through the first full mission, reached the extraction point with required prisoner on my back, dumped him onto the chopper, jumped up alongside him and there my PS4 froze completely, requiring a reboot. Thankfully the last checkpoint wasn't too far back, but it was a pain in the ass to have to replay it when I didn't have a lot of time to play last night.

Hopefully it was just a once off bug, but for those a lot deeper into the game have you had many crashes (PS4) so far?

Finally got a transportation specialist so I can start fultoning vehicles and containers.

That's what I need following my disastrous attempts to fulton a big army truck yesterday.

so im finding this fairly boring, the world seems devoid of life and character.
its just an almost generic mountiny bland area, all i see are the same kind of little shacks with Russian guards havent come across any villages or people doing anything seems nothing between places so far but open space with next to nothing in it.

I like the way we finally have the freedom to stealth or attack and not feel too punished for it. Sometimes it's just smarter to snipe out enemies with some air support when things are getting heavy or you're finding it hard to relocate after being spotted. There are also some places with armoured vehicles, metal gear, snipers where you really ought to sneak the whole thing. Absolutely loving the choice.

I know what you mean, the hospital seemed great when I think back to it because it was different from the desert, they had other patients there also. IMO they really need about 3 very different environments to make things fresh, still having a good time and the lack of villagers could be explained that it is a military occupied zone so all the villagers vacated. I am almost hoping the last level will take place on mother base.

i loved the hospital part it was fantastic, now im really just like disappointed and mother base is really the same as well, i dont get why they thought a rig in the sea would be fun compared to a compound in Afghan or africa could have been more fun defending it and stuff. bleh i think il just try get a refund. I dont really feel like metal gear and open world are a great fit or for me anyway its not as exciting as metal gear 1/2 which i loved back in the day.

This isn't so much a MGS5 question as much a question about Japanese games, but what's an "S" rating? I've always been confused when games have ratings of something in letters, and always have "S" as the best, above "A".

    Special/Super/Superb, its the best rating.

Just finished main mission 25 and
there's a plague sweeping mother base. Over a third of my staff is in quarantine.

I always assume an S rank meant Super, but then if I remember correctly some games had SS and SSS ranks.

    Quite:
ended up wandering into the battle with Quite last night when I was going about the map doing some side ops. Such a tense battle. I ended up getting pinned down in one area for ages but luckily a sand storm came in and allowed me to get the jump on her. The whole thing brought me back to the battle with The End in Snake Eater. Must have taken me the bones of a hour to beat her.

There should be two codes, one of which is for online stuff and won't work til they patch in MGO.

I've heard a few people complain about crashes and performance issues on ps4, I'm about 35 hours in and it's been perfect.

Just able to send combat team on missions and I see you can send them to destroy sheds full of helmets so will diminish supplies for the enemies, doing that 1st thing tonight!

I also got a memento photo after rescuing a prisoner in a side op, went to Medical Bay on MB and showed it to that special person
and it kicked off some dialogue. Looks like you will get her to remember/snap back to reality once you show enough memento's

I've had a few instances of bad audio , stuttering and frame rate drops. I'd say about 7 or 8 times in 10 hours play, Usually happens if I call the horse and get on while someone is being extracted or the helicopter is around. I'm on XB1 though.

For anyone interested, you can download the 1st 53 pages of the official guide book as a sample.....Just how big is the actual guide??

    http://www.piggyback.com/en/guides/downloads/index.php?id_guide=73

Edit: I had a look just to see if I'm missing any gameplay stuff (I had to google what to do with posters) and the full guide is 353 pages The preview covers all gameplay stuff and the first couple of missions. There are 50 main missions and 157 side ops. T full guide covers all MB stuff, easter eggs, secrets, etc. I'd say it would actually be worth picking up once you completed the game.

Edit Edit: Just read that when you look through the binoculars, pressing down and up on the d pad changes zoom levels. I really need a zoom out option instead of clicking r3 until it gets to the right zoom again.

I take it no online features are available on Ps4? No code redemptions etc?

Just in middle of opening hospital scene

Did a main mission with a combat member, still mentions snake in the opening credits which is a little silly. Wonder if any dialogue is different using a staff member rather than snake, the mission I did was not heavy on story so couldn't really tell.

    Just did side-op 112 :D
Hideo Kojima gets captured again and you have to rescue him.

Not sure if you're actually able to unlock mission that without importing a GZ file. If you are I assume you'll unlock Kojima, just much later in the game than if you import from GZ.

I'm watching the end credits but I have a feeling there's more to come.

    EDIT:
It was just the end of chapter 1.

Holy ****. I've sunk 6 hours into it and I only have three side ops available.

This wasn't the best game to buy with a baby due shortly...
