    Have five to six ton of barley this year as was late planting useally use oats. is it safe to use straight rolled barley to sheep the same as oats

    As far as I know, there would be a risk of acidosis with feeding a lot of barley, which wouldn't be there with oats.

    no problem feeding barley to sheep once you are careful at the start not to sicken them. you could also use a mix of whole nd rolled barley which will be safer. not too fond of using all whole barley myself

    Thanks for that what kind of mix would you recommend would you roll the barley heavy or light
