Hi, i bought a 1.8 mondeo 2008 today at least i think i did the sales guy put on the receipt 2.0cc so i rang him and he said no that's just a mix up on the receipts:eek: it was an English car so no log book. Going to take it to a ford garage tomorrow. Just wondering is there any visual signs to let you know a 1.8 from a 2.0??
    Thanks

2.0 usually has a 2.0 badge on one wing (don't think its on both)

If you look on the engine aswell the 2.0 engine cover looks like this

1.8 engine cover looks like this

And the 2.0 badge is on the passenger side only.

This board thing is great first time useing it. Looks like the 1.8 so. the place i got it from was a long way from a ford dealer so was a bit suspicious:). would the tax be different between a 1.8 and 2.0 even if the co2 admission are the same? That's just a curious one

If the emissions were the same, the tax would be too.
