Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Microsoft has confirmed it is in talks with the Spanish football club Real Madrid to acquire naming rights to its Bernabeu Stadium.

The 85,454-seat venue is currently named after its former president Santiago Bernabeu.

Speaking on Spanish television, the president of Microsoft in Spain said discussions were at an early stage.

"They've raised... renaming the stadium and we're only talking about this possibility," said Maria Garana.

Madrid are in talks to tack on Microsoft onto their stadium name. They have to cover the cost of Bale somehow! :pac:

What does this do to all other advertising? Can't remember how much extra advertising goes on at the Emirates and the Etihad.

They'd want to get some chunk if they can't have any other advertisers. They're in debt to the tune of 500m or so, this would probably wipe that out.

It was a joke but the cost being selling a better player in Ozil for almost half the price. If they had this potential deal in place, would they have sold him?

They're trying to raise €400m to redevelop the stadium though selling naming rights. Perez said it at their AGM(or whatever the call it in Madrid).

MCFC get about 400 million spread over ten years for the Etihad naming rights, by far the most ever for a stadium name. I imagine Real will be looking for similar.

(I know, I know, almost the same owner so it's a little skewed)
