What a strange weekend that was, none of the top sides winning bar liverpool.

    Rooney MOTM?

He ran around a lot and defended well. Played poorly in the position he is supposed to play.

Well done to United. We didn't turn up today and really missed players like Walcott who could have provided a change from an attacking perspective.

Was that the best midfield in the league?

    Kagawa > Özil

Great stuff. Best team performance in a long time, no passengers for once

Terrible performance by Arsenal. they looked clueless on the ball and couldn't take the game by the scruff of the neck at all.

A good professional job by Utd. It's hard to know what to make of them after that, they really weren't up against much

In truth I don't see either of these winning the league but it's early days

    Bar United, the 11/8 favourites

Wonder if Wenger still thinks Van Persie is a gooner.

    serves him right.

It's a sad day when Liverpool fans are celebrating being 2nd in November.

Talk about a fall from grace for the "greatest club in history".

Quite sad to see us resorting to parking the bus and hoofing the ball long.

Yeeeeowww!!! Arsenal dont look the same when Ozil isnt at his best, Moyes made good subs at the end, delighted :)

This the same Arsenal team that steamrolled Liverpool? Says a lot.

Excellent result for Utd, 6 point spread from 1st to 8th now.

Meh. The forced change was what killed our positive play imo. Jones was far more effective in CM than Clevz. Evra is a complete liability toward the end of games too. need a younger LB

Wenger hadn't the team prepared to battle at all today. Poor performance.
    United deserved their win.

Then who if neither of these? Its not like any other side are really pulling up trees. You'd imagine sooner rather than later someone will grab the league by the cajones and stamp authority

Very flat out there, still think we could have gotten something out of that game and it wouldn't have been an injustice but at the same time United had a couple of good chances too.

Wouldn't surprise me if Ozil and Cazorla had that virus too, they were very poor out there today. Ozil especially.

And just like that United are ahead of City and only a point off Chelsea. Good weekend.

Did they, i thought arsenal were much the better team 2nd half. Draw would have been right result.

    Kagawa > Özil

Ozil is an utter bargain at €50m, considering United paid €30m for Fellaini lol

end of a tough week where quite a few of our players had picked up the flu.

Important thing now is the response. Tough game against Southampton ahead but we have to win that.

    Not celebrating anything.

Just happy with the results over the weekend and glad that Arsenal's lead hasn't been extended.

But very disappointing match no doubt about it.

Was expecting a fierce battle, hell for leather, but we got a tedious, borefest to put it frankly

Not that I'd blame Utd- they did what they had to do to be fair.

From an Arsenal perspective, they are still top of the league in fairness, but looked gutless. That's surely a worry. I was really expecting them to grab the game by the balls and show everyone they meant business.

I wouldn't panic just yet but a few more showings like this and they could fade quite quickly.

This weekend has been strange to say the least though, City and Chelsea failing to win was mad

I do still think one of them will be lifting the trophy in May however...

That's how to win a fight,Arsenal had too many passengers today while everyone stood up to be counted for United.
Valencia still wrecked my head though,so many chances to cause havoc but time & time again he resorted to his usual tactic of stopping dead in midflow.

All week the likes of Gary Neville and Keown have been expecting Jones for this so it's hardly that much of a shock. Gary Neville certainly thinks it will be tailor made for Jones.

Think the football people got this one right. Jones was brilliant today.
