    ok ... if this has been asked before, just link me to a thread please

    I have a trade and work experience in a sector in the list of eligible skilled trades...

    Visa wise, when can I apply for this ?

    I see all this talk about visa allocations only being given out once a year ...

    it's not 100% but I may also have a job lined up if I did go ahead with this, if not I could stay with friends until I did get a job in the sector

    or, if I'm going completely arse about face on this, someone tell me

    It's the iec visas given out once a year. If you're applying via another program you can apply whenever, but it can take a few years to get sorted
