Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Foul Sewer Pipe Issue

    Ok, story goes as follows:

Sister renting house while waiting for new house to be completed. First morning in new house noticed a strong gas smell. First believed to be leaking gas barrel from neighbouring garage.

This was checked and turned out no leak. Then it was discovered that it could possibly be the lack of a gas vent on the sewer. This was installed but the smell is still there. Possibly only residual but she is terrified of going back there. She has been homeless with three kids for a month now.

Should the gas vent fix the issue, or could this be an issue being so close to a filling station. i.e. car wash etc. all running and backing up the system.

Also, anyone know of a gas detector (other than carbon Monoxide) that she could use to check? or alternatively a specialist? Galway area?
