The thought of Spurs fans watching Gareth Bale score the winner in the Champions League while knowing they'll have to endure multiple years of Soldado/Lamela et al. :D:D:D:D:D

I actually like the World Cup but have a strong aversion to club football. I think it's just that it's all so commercialised or something and doesn't sit right with me.

I would think Ozil/ Flamini might be the more direct comparison?

Think your doing the Gunners a dis-service there, no way Ozil is as sh!te as Lamela or Soldado.

Funny things children say. Was in Supervalu today and looking at trays of eggs. The ones I looked at were short dated so I started to sort through them all by stacking some on the floor. My two year old turns to me and says "No Daddy, take one!".

The crowds at the Zegama mountain race at the weekend. It's like the Tour De France.

Jaysus, it's bad enough seeing John Shiels and his camera somewhere and you can't afford to have your walk your legs are screaming out for, having that crowd around you will have you running beyond what you thought were your limitations.

A short run planned later, wouldn't mind it being in the rain....there is something primal about running in the rain that I love.

That sort of nonsense is surely worth a ban of some description?!

You should move to Mayo, eternal bliss for you bud.

    Haha, very funny all.

No I don't get bleeding nipples, a bit of vaseline avoids that.

    No I don't want to live in Mayo;

and no ban would be great thank you.

Not a rave as such but a funny one happened to me this morning on the quays in Dublin.
Got a visit from the gingerbread man near the convention centre and spotted a load of porto loos set up for The Liffey River Fest this weekend.
Ducked in to one chuffed (and relieved) at my fortunate and timely break. Sitting down in a very fresh and clean loo when it started moving! 2 lads with high vis vests dragged it about 20 yards down the road to line up with some other loos:o
They must have been wondering why that particular one was so heavy:pac:

Running in the countryside on days like today. The smell of sileage, almost getting mowed down by said sileage haulers, bonus strides when being chased by loose dogs. It's good to escape the city.

Tractors in general, I did not have to do anything with the kids today as they stayed outside watching the tractors working in the field across the road:D That said I have an unhealthy knowledge of tractors from listening to the boys.

Rave: My dog... Was in fairly bad form yesterday and when I got home I got the usual OTT welcome from her. Wasn't long before I was smiling again and down on the floor playing tug of war and talking baby talk to her :-D:-D

Long summer evenings in Dublin. No traffic heading to Three Rock. Had the Ticknock/Tibradden trails to myself for the most part.

Saw a dormouse for the first time. Such a tiny animal, I didn't know what it was. I then tripped up immediately and nearly flattened the thing.

The sun making an unexpected appearance, instead of the deluge met-eireann said we should expect! Wore a coat today that I hadn't worn in a while due to the weather forecast, and found €50 in the pocket of it! Thank you met eireann :)

Discovering Bushy Park is really near my office! Lunchtime park running here I come! I just stumbled upon it while running along the Dodder - had no idea I could get to it so quickly!
