    Went for a run today - horizontal hailstones, freezing wind, floods, dodging falling trees, hands so cold unable to take off my runners, wife not talking too me for being so stupid - most enjoyable run I've had in ages:D

    Went out yesterday morning to do 15miles and was skeptical as hell at first due to ice on the roads,

    However I was seriously surprised, anytime I walked I'd nearly slip but I could go along at a nice slow 9min/mile pace without any real problems. Due to the ice there was feck all cars on the road and the morning was really calm out weather wise.

    Lovely and peaceful, refreshing after dealing with storms on and off over the past 10 days or so,

    Running in the hills after torrential rain and the trails have become streams in places. Climb to the top of a nearby hill and the sun comes out giving sights for miles around.

    Yes, it was shaping up to be a bad morning, she had been telling us all week that she never needs to go to school again because she's been loads of times already so that's enough, but once in the car she was grand. I should be feeling guilty but with a new born arriving a couple of weeks ago she has been understandably extra demanding over the Christmas break.

    I'll get what will be only my second run since the start of December in this evening too, but not quite sure if that's for the Rave or Ranting thread yet.
