Anti- rave: There must be something wrong when the forum loses a long-term poster like Meno :( Anyone know what needs to be changed - a few more went during the year & we only got some back. There 's something wrong somewhere !

There's nothing that needs to be changed, some people just want to close their accounts. Maybe it was a work distraction? Or a family distraction? No need for massive amounts of soul searching every time someone closes their account, it's only an Internet forum.

Yeh, it's very normal for folks to move on from online forums like this, there comes a time when you get diminishing returns talking about similar stuff year in year out. Obviously a big loss to the forum, hopefully "monoscomo" will show up at some stage ;)

Pity to see pbarnsey gone so soon - was enjoying the light relief that he/she was bringing there for a while. Funny stuff :pac:

Jaysus, whatever about a two day hangover, I just drove to Cork & find that parts of the forum have been taken over by kids - can you get jet lag going from Dublin to Cork ??

The thing I love second most about christmas is that it gives me the chance to get reading again. 3 books done in the last 4 days. I need to win the lotto and quit work so I can start reading properly again. :)
One of them was a book I bought, summer 2008!!! I remember because I have a the other 2 from the 3 for 2 in Waterstones (at the time) on my shelf. Even remember buying the three of them and sauntering around Waterstones for them as if it was yesterday!

No need for that comment. Posters have got carded for a lot less.

Rave: more XC tomorrow and we might have a decent team out!

It's a big forum & I made no specific or personal reference to anyone at all. I must have missed the part where you were made a moderator ??? Congratulations

No, soft and slippy ground wouldn't do me any favours right now. Best of luck to you!
