Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all ,I'm ok with joining lengths of copper together with straight unions or bends and do ok when I can shut off water supply to replace sink taps etc . I have a job at home to move an upstairs radiator app 2' along from where it is presently . I have removed and hung the rad in the new position and was depending on a plumber to move it yesterday but he has not turned up . I'm wondering is it possible to remove the valves from the original pipes connect 2 x 600mm lengths + valves without having to drain the system . I only have 1 tank in the attic . Probably a non runner but it would be good for me to get this done over the weekend so I can get to some other work .
    Thanks FMG

NO I would certainly not advise making conections on a live system you are only inviting disaster. You shouldnt even consider taking any kind of shortcut.Just drain the system and do it the right way,or better still wait till your plumber shows up and does it

Thanks , I was a bit frantic trying to get stuff done and thought the rad relocation would hold everything else up but have been able to get a lot of other stuff done today so will wait for the plumber to do this .
