360 pad won't work with multiplayer

Has anyone managed to get their 360 pad working for the multiplayer? I can play campaign and firing range just fine, the controller works straight away. But whenever I try multiplayer, the pad is not recognised. I can't even change the key bindings in options. Any help is appreciated.

I have to have mine turned on first before any battlefield game recognises it. Most games can detect it on the fly. Other than that it works fine.

Mine is plugged in and always works.

Cant remap buttons as LT is locked to free look tho which is stupid.
