    No thread

Anyway, strongly fancy City in the second half. Being well backed at the min too, were 11/5 at the halftime whistle on PP but into 9/5 now.

Dont think Sunderland will hang on.

In truth apart from Agueros poor header, Sunderland are well in this game, City have to up it big time to get back into it, if they score early I'd fancy them to go on to win though.

It amazes me that City have the likes of Aguero, Toure and Nasri and they're struggling to break down Wes fúcking Brown.

What on earth is wrong with City away from home?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,586 ✭✭✭jaykay74

City have been Jekyll and Hyde between home and away this season in the league.

If sunderland don't concede I can see them winning the game

    So have Chelsea.

    6 wins - 5 at home, 1 away
    3 draws - 2 away, 1 at home
    2 losses - both away.

Inconsistency is a big factor this year for everyone bar Arsenal and Liverpool so far.

This is so easy for Sunderland shocking performance from
    Man city

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

City have been poor even in this 2nd half when they had 45 mins to get back into it.

    Big 10mins for Sunderland.

amazing that this would be sunderlands 4th win a row at home vs city, bogey team? :)

Wes Brown is criminally underrated, great defender

Does Quinn get paid by the word or something? Shut the fúck up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Navas needs to start playing Zaba in more, his deliveries are being mopped up by Josh and Brown every time.

    Nasri has been so poor

Didn't get into the new work LMS this week due to being off-site when they were collecting the money. Fecking glad now. I'd say this weekend has burst almost everyone.

No, he's just a laughably bad commentator. My interpretation of him is like the Booker T of football, unintentionally hilarious commentator.

"The Stadium Of Light is buzzing" says Quinn as he makes his way over to Ellis Short for a quick fondle of his bollocks.

Fortunate Larsson wasn't sent off, but well done Sunderland.

I can see Aguero moving to Barca, perfect team for him as well, seems to be a bit of interest now that I google it.

    Great result.

Phil Bardsley has come in for a lot of stick, a lot of it by me to be honest, but he was immense today, absolutely immense. Wes Brown a close second. If that man can stay fit it would give us a lifeline in the relegation battle.

I'm biased but I loved Quinn's commentary. It's exactly what we as fans would sound like if we were commentating on our team. Pure passion. Although I can understand why people find it annoying.

In true Sunderland style though, we'll **** it all up by self-destructing against Villa in our next game.

City paid big money for Aguero and hes got better since joining them, Barca wont pay the money that Aguero can and will command.

City frustrated again with the 10 men behind the ball tactic.

Opposition is catching on to this....not the 1st time City run out of ideas when the opposition park the bus.

Why can't we shoot from outside the box....it seems we have to walk it in as the only option.

Cardiff, stoke, sunderland ....no point beating Man U and letting clubs like that beat us the following the week.

......we have to have a Plan B when opposition close up shop...surely there must be an alternative?????

    .....aaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggg (my frustration showing here!!)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,428 ✭✭✭Talib Fiasco

Not true. Sure City haven't been as impressive as they have been/are with Kompany in the team but that is to be expected...he's the captain and is one of the best centre backs in the world. The same would happen to any team without that type of player. To say they've been woeful is just not true. They are still doing pretty damn well without him. And why would Aguero leave? He has constantly said he wants to stay at City, he's very happy at the club and is playing out of his skin, with Suarez he's the form striker in the league....and the only way he'd go to Barca next summer is if Messi is heading the other way. It's not like City are struggling incredibly at the moment. If any top players in Manchester are going to be leaving their club it's going to be from United, not City.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

City with Kompany in the league:

75% games won including convincing wins against United and Everton

    City without Kompany:

43% games won including losses against Sunderland and Cardiff

I'd call that woeful. We'll have to disagree there.

As for the rest of what you said, we'll see if he's still at the club by the end of next summer.

Delighted with that today, solid performance.

Look much better when Sunderland actually have natural defenders playing all across the back four, that was crucial.

Colback had a good game considering who he was up against.

Poyet made the correct subs at the correct times, just wish Altidore was not struggling for confidence so much.

Midweek he could and would have once upon a time shot instead of feeding Larsson for the second goal.

Massive three points considering how other results have gone down there, and great to feel the crowd getting right behind the team.
