Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Long vertical vent on neighbours house

11-11-2013 5:56pm#1A neighbour of mine recently had a tall metal/aluminium vent installed that enters the house above a downstairs window and goes up above the second floor rising to about 2 metres above the second floor on the outside of the house.
It doesn't affect me at all but does look very ugly. Does anyone know what it could be?
Houses here are only a few years old and all have GFCH.
I'm really just nosey wondering if I'm missing out on something that saves money

Are you my neighbour?
Had one installed on Saturday. Sitting beside the stove now.
could be a stove i suppose. i think this particular one was installed about 2 weeks ago. it's entering the house no where near the gas boiler and in a different room to the kitchen, at the back of the house. the living room is at the front of the house so if it was a stove there would be seriously ugly piping going between rooms.
probably best if i call in to them and ask 0 -

it's on the back of the house, so yes it does look likely to be some form of stove. it's really ugly though!
