Preliminary Tax - Include PAYE income in calculations?

I have recently started work as a PAYE worker and I have paid my taxes as a PAYE worker for 2013. Earlier in the year I was self-employed. Do I need to take account of my PAYE income when calculating preliminary tax for 2013?

I am trying to avoid the following situation:

    Income from self-employment: 5,000
Income from PAYE: 30, 000 (taxes paid)
Preliminary tax due (including PAYE as income): 8,000

As you can see, I only earned 5, 000 as a self-employed individual but owe 8,000 in preliminary tax!
