There is a thread currently in After Hours about the discussion of a video that involves a minor, with some posters actually posting descriptions on how to access said video. It has been discussed numerous times about how this could effectively constitute as child pornography, with posters reporting the thread, yet no action has yet been taken.

I would never normally do this, but this does seem quite important as it could impact hugely negatively towards boards.ie.

The thread in question is here.

Its not like its beensitting there for weeks in fairness. Mods are volunteers, if the thread needs actioning they will get round to it, AH is a very busy place

Yes, so I'm posting it here in the hope that an admin or category moderator or someone else might see it and stop the discussion. It does seem important enough.

AH mods are usually very quick to nip silly threads in the bud. It's a peak time for the thread surely, do Mods have a sort of rota for what times they'll hit up boards and Mod?

I appreciate that Mods are, contrary to internet belief, volunteers.

The thread has been locked now. Apologies for creating this thread, but it did seem important at the time.

No, Mods don't have rotas, when a post is reported, we recieve an email, if its actionable the first available person will hop on it

Thanks, it has been unapproved while a review is under way.

Fair enough, I misjudged and it felt like one of the fairly regular feedback rants, my apologies

Oh Lord no, I would never go off on a rant like that. I really enjoy boards.ie and wouldn't want to see anything bad happen to it because of a few users that didn't realize what they might have been doing.

They reacted quickly enough. The whole thing only kicked off less than 40 minutes ago. Not a bad response time for 10pm at night when the mods are settled in with their PJ's/nightdresses on.
