Not sure where to put this, mods feel free to move. I have had shoulder problems for years (combination of an old injury and holding all my stress in my shoulders) and a friend of mine usually works on them using Deep Tissue massage as she is a massage therapist, but she is unavailable. Could anyone recommend a decent place that won't break the bank? Have a large build up of knots from lactic acid retention, so need someone to work that out!

If you want a decent massage therapy it'll cost about €50. From personal experience, I'd recommend Pearse Street Physiotherapy.

Thanks - I'm willing to pay up to €60, I have just seen places that charge €75 for the hour, which I think is unnecessary as I know great therapists that charge €45-€55.

THanks for that, I'll check them out!

Aidan Woods there is the head physio for the Irish Olympic team as well but i've also been treated by other physios there and can only say good things about treatment.

Do these affiliations really mean that much? I've been with physios that work with the Irish rugby team, Irish olympic team and Real Madrid and have not found their service satisfactory with resolving issues. I have found some good recommendations on here though.

I'm also looking for a good strong deep tissue massage, do Pearse Street do massage on it's own or is it only as part of a physio package?

The most pertinent part of my post was that my experience was wholly positive.

    From their website:

We are now offering a sport massage service delivered by chartered physiotherapists. Sports massage is different to other forms of massage because it is applied specifically to the tissues that the physiotherapist has identified needs treating. It uses a combination of deep tissue massage and a variety of specialised techniques to aid in the rehabilitation and maintenance of soft tissue structures, muscles tendons and ligaments
