Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

SD card problem with Note2

    I am having a problem with sd cards in my Note2. Everytime the phone goes from asleep to awake it starts messing with the sd card going from "damaged sd card" to "checking sd card", "mounting sd card". Then it will throw out messages like "sd card unexpectedly unmounted" or "blank sd card" all of a sudden. It's mostly when I'm not using the card but lately it's gotten very annoying as it will unmount the sd card mid way through a video or suddenly claim there's no content on the sd card that a moment before if it was playing the file from.

    I've looked it up and it seems to be a common enough issue with notes and s3's. The advice is generally format the card which will help for a week or so and then it goes back to square one. I don't think its the card as I've tried another and both are affected despite both working fine in my PC and camera.

    Anyone have any experience of the problem or any advice on what to do?

    What brand SD card are you using? As there was a problem in Note 2's and certain SD cards.
    I have a Note 2 since it was first released and I only had one problem with an SD card even though I have had the card before I got the phone. It happened while on holiday in Spain this summer typical, I had no music to listen to on the plane home. But the problem was rectified after a format, but saying that the card worked perfectly on my PC before the format just, wouldn't work in phone.

    Thank you for the reply. I'm glad it rectified itself for you. I've tried two formats and only got temporary relief from the problem.

    I'm using Sandisk cards . What ones are best to use in the note do you know?

    I'm running a Samsung class 10 32gb since I got the note last year.No issues at all with it.

    I'm using a Lexar 32gb class 10 for a year now and no issues here either.

    I do remember reading reports of older SanDisk cards having issues on the Note 2 on xda. Current cards are okay now though.
