    Hello,

I was sold PPI on a car loan prior to 2007. Why is miss sold PPI only being reviewed from 2007 onwards?

    Thanks,

    S

    Hi soflynn,

Thank you for contacting us through Boards.

The review of Payment Protection Insurance policies was instigated by the Central Bank of Ireland and covers a number of credit institutions including Bank of Ireland.  The Central Bank of Ireland has defined that this covers all policies sold since the introduction of the Consumer Protection Code on the 1 July 2007.  Bank of Ireland is fully participating in this review.

If you would like to have a PPI policy you bought prior to this date looked into please send a letter to the following address:

    Group Customer Complaints,
    4th floor, New Century House,
    Lower Mayor Street,
    Dublin 1.

Make sure you include the account number the policy was bought with and an explanation as to why you feel this policy may have been mis-sold to you.

    Thanks

    Seán
