Oooh those frames are things of beauty, track classics that have been hipstered. Change bars, stem, wheels etc. and you have a thing of beauty no?

It's a bit melty but pretty. If it was set up right I think it'd be lovely :o

Maybe in the "Persistence of Memory" kind of way...

However - I've seen a lookalike of the first one recently in Dublin. Caught my eye :)

Wow, that is impressively ugly; a non-folding foldy looking full suss MTB BSO with slicks and drops. That gets my vote for best of class when it comes to ugly. The little touches like the blue saddle against red frame, and the post mounted bag when there's a pannier in place really make it special.

What's the deal with the fork? Is that a thing? :(

    http://velonews.competitor.com/2014/09/news/cyclocross/tim-johnson-testing-cyclocross-suspension-fork_347760
Suspension engineers at Cannondale have been hard at work on a new cyclocross standard — a cyclocross version of Cannondale’s popular Lefty suspension fork. A 26”-wheel Lefty, slimmed down to shorter travel for cyclocross, was spotted at the Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com team trailer on Sunday at the Rapha Super Cross race in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

What's the deal with the fork? Is that a thing? :(

I wanted an amp research fork back in the day.
    AMPB4_MBA_slider.jpg
Super light in comparison to other suspension forks, and the parallelogram design had a nifty way of using the fork compression to go over a bump.

The company put a lot of work into rear suspension too, pioneering the active Horst link that is the most active of active suspension.

In fact this post has no place in the images of ugly thread :o

Off to beauties! Really great looking MTB.

(I am surprised I have actually said that ^)

Some sort of suspension it looks like. Parallelogram thing like the AMP Research above.
Personally I love it - speed, suspension and luggage capacity all in one. A bit like a cross country Aston Martin shooting brake, if you will.

I've looked at this thing again. What is it supposed to be? I don't understand the purpose of all the metal hanging off the forks.

    Can anyone explain?

Looks like what you used to see on the front of old locomotives, used to (slowly) push cattle of the tracks in the American West I believe. Maybe this version is for making your way though streets overly congested with pedestrians?

Been mooching around for a folding bike of late and came across this yoke. Looks like the bastard child of shopping trolley and a zimmer frame.

I know my Wilier has a bit of a crook near the headset, but this is on a whole other level.

Horrible frame but I really admire the way that stem is slammed.
