I heard them on GCN saying that this has hydraulic rim brakes on it.

Nothing unusual there. SRAM have had hydraulic rim brakes for many years now. https://www.sram.com/sram/road/products/sram-red-hydraulic-rim-brakeset

What's more unusual on this bike is that Specialized have completely designed the brakes themselves to integrate into the overall design. Personally I think it's horrible looking.

    I actually like it.

I'm not sure about the rear break calliper and why they put it there though. Are they hiding it in the wind disturbance already created by the bottle?

Also it looks to be a tiny frame which doesn't help much.

Front break aerofoil is a bit meh. I like that there are no cables visible at all can't see an reason to go wireless at all. Sram may well be wasting their time.

yeah there's another rule. For photographing purposes all bikes should be 56 or 58cms. Everthing else looks daft.

I don't just like it. I love it. It's got everything I love about modern bikes and then some.

I like modern carbon racers mostly but it's too much. That stem/headtube connector is particularly nasty IMO. I don't mind sloping top-tubes, but that slope is too much. And of course, it looks like a 50 cm frame or something, which are never pretty.

    It's like a verge.. but it's a trek.. so it's double horrible :p

Watched the video for that trek yesterday, the weird flap on the headtube for when you turn the forks.
Has something like that been on bikes before? it's the first time i've seen something like that.

It is Cavendish's bike which is a 49, same size as my bike which is very pretty thank you very much. Maybe my parents should have given me growth hormone so that I could have a nicer looking bike.
