I like that lunchbox compartment at the bottom, you'd get a couple sandwiches and a capri-sun in the there.

ye sunday cyclists, only worried about when ye get to stop for lunch :)

I'm pretty sure the UCI will find an engine from a Honda 50 or similar in there somewhere!

Also, why does it look like the back end behind the seat post had been poorly chopped off on photoshop?

    No seat stays either.

Who needs seat stays, when you can have a fold-out ash tray?

^^ that is incredible. Just when you think you've gone through the first and second rate ugliness/inappropriateness (frame, brakes, pedals, mudguards, reflector, flat pedals, mismatching rim depths, weirdo setback seatpost, driveside fail), some other little detail pops up, like the differently-angled brifters and the valve cap on one wheel only.

The fact that the spacers are done properly indicates this wasn't a from-scratch build up. It probably left the bike shop looking OK.

Actually it'd probably be OK if it had shallow section metal rims on it. Those rims make a mockery of whatever it is supposed to be.

Also, even in isolated deep section disc wheels are so stupid. Look at all the spokes!

I think I've posted that one before actually. Must have deleted it from my brain. With good reason too.

Is the spoke pattern on the front wheel a little off?

This is a case of someone in Cervélo mishearing shouldn't as couldn't, and coming back with "don't tell me it couldn't be done"

Also, what is with the damage visible in the centre of the frame?! Is that creasing, gouging, or badly applied tape?

this photo nicely summarises he evolution of tri bikes over the last 25 years to include the inspiration behind this years monstrosities

As the Ironman World Championships (Kona) are on this weekend most of the new TT/Tri bikes are being unveiled.

BMC have taken a novel approach to altering the geometry of tri vs tt bikes by adjusting the location of the seatpost

    In tt mode (UCI Legal)

But for triathlon use you swap the seatpost for a shorter one and stick it in the top tube and put your lunchbox into the old seatpost hole
