Yea speaking of that, I didn't find it written anywhere but after trying 0000, I did 1234 next and that worked fine.

also noted how the older the car the less you get to play with on the the software side. EG, 07 has loads more info than a 02.

hi, i have a 2002 BMW MINI and the airbag light keeps lighting every few weeks / months and i go to the garage and they just reset.

will this device allow for airbag lights to be reset ?

    thanks in advance
This wont work. Cheapest reliable solution I know of is icarsoft i910.
Assuming its just the poor quality underseat connectors giving intermittent faults.

That's the same password I have on my luggage :)

On a serious note: is there a windows phone app for this sort of thing?
    Thanks.

Is there any way of tracking the parcel once it's left China?

I think it goes on a slow boat once its left China so tracking would not really help. (mine took 16 days)

However I see they have three different shipping partners so depending who they used for yours could be different. They should have given you links to the shipping in the dispatched email. If they used EMS that should be fully traceable alright.

One story I've heard is that it gets shipped as ballast as that's the cheapest way of doing it.

LightInTheBox charged 13c for postage if that's any clue. Never understood how An Post can charge so much, because it's the same postman delivering the letters. But that's for another thread.

usually takes 3 to 4 weeks to deliver.

A little off topic but one thing I've noticed with the Torque Pro app is that it doesn't allow you to turn off Bluetooth, you have to force stop the app.
I was wondering why my battery was running down so quickly and noticed that Bluetooth was on even though I had turned it off.
I'm not sure if there is a setting in the app to app to avoid this, I just thought I'd put it out there.

Not had that problem myself yet. If I press backup a few times it asks if I want to close it. I say yes and it's gone.
It does hog the bluetooth connection however as my Pebble watch doesn't connect fully with the obd2 running.

I haven't had any problems with my pebble since I've gotten the ODB2 yokey connected, in fact last week I was on my bluetooth handsfree looking at the dials when I got a text on my watch so I know they all work

Thanks for the feedback all the same. ;-)

I seem to remember having a problem with my watch losing connection after installing the jawbone app on my phone, but installing Glance fixed that, there might be something in that that manages the connections

Ordered one yesterday afternoon and got email confirmation of dispatch a few hours later so we'll see when it arrives. Dx has always been a 3 week minimum for anything I've ordered there before.

Try rebooting your phone then trying it, also unpair any previous OBDII conections beforehand, it's a little precious.

Ordered mine OBD from DX on 13th of Nov, still didnt received it. Paypal dispute rejected as it was more than 40 days. Submit ticket at dx site 3 weeks ago the status still "waiting for staff". Not happy at all with DX and it was my last purchase from them...

Mitsubishi Mirage Asti. Petrol and 1998.

That doesn't "speak" OBD-II. That only became mandatory for petrol cars outside the USA in 2001.

Well it has the socket to plug the device in. I will try on my parents car later just to see if it is my car or the OBD scanner.

Yes, a lot of them do. That doesn't necessarily mean that there is an OBD-II implementation behind it.

Unfortunately just because it fits doesn't mean it'll work, think CDs and DVDs, same size and will fit in the same places, but won't always work. I've tried my 1 in a few different cars with no problems, but they've all been newer than 2004

Has anyone successfully used this on a Japanese import? Ive connected mine upto my Ford Focus and it will display codes and realtime info. When I connect it to my Subaru it says it is connected to the ecu and says there are no faults but it shows no realtime info. I dont know if that is because it is not suitable for the car or if it is something else.

would this enable me to turn off ABS warning light on Mondeo 07 - it came on after I parked on a path :-)

There are, but not this one. You want the ones with WiFi as opposed to Bluetooth.

You can reset the light but whether or not it comes back on is another thing. If there's an ACTUAL problem, then the light will come back on. If its a false alarm, you should be grand. I've reset a couple of friends warning lights fine. I've a 06 Focus and it works on mine so a 07 Mondeo should be compatible also.

Subject: RE: Does your app work with Bluetooth?

    Hello,
The app works with WiFi ELM327 adaptor right away. For Bluetooth ELM327 device, You will need:

iPhone/iPad has restriction on Bluetooth support (Basically iPhone/iPad requires BT data device to have a special Apple authentication chip which 99% of the BT adaptors don't have). In order to use it for standard Bluetooth devices in data mode you need to jailbreak it. There is a tool in Jailbreak store to manage the Bluetooth http://www.roqy-bluetooth.net/wp/?page_id=209.

If you have jailbreak iPhone/iPad and that tool installed, you should be able to use Engine Link with the OBD II Bluetooth device.

We recommend to use WIFI version of adapter, the above steps are not needed for WIFI version.

Please let us know if there are any questions / suggestions.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Support Team"

Hmmmm challenge of bargain alerts buying triggers. I bought one not knowing about the android only but this is likely the route I will take to use this with iphone.
