Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Weird they have stopped it as Tesco are still doing their Crazy Prices deals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,710 ✭✭✭Monotype

They probably didn't get enough business from it. They'd nearly want the offers advertised 2 days earlier. By the time I see the offers, it's Friday evening, I'm home and I wouldn't get them even if I did think they were good.

Prefer king myself. Although they are both made by the same crowd.

Aldi's "Spuddies" are very deelicious, 1.09 for a 6 pack and are also made by the same crowd - largo foods.

If they are not available then personally I'd prefer King to Tayto though both are infinitely better than the shameful greasy abomination known as "Walker's".

A lot of their recent months " friday specials " are on special offer most of the time in Dunnes
Lucozade sports, birds eye chicken, pringles , triple pack of chocolate bars, toilet rolls , the list goes on,
Great value , but nothing to burst through the doors for of late.

They kept " rehashing " the specials of late each week.

Weird that tayto are now made by Largo foods. Didn't tayto dominate the market at one stage with an 80-90% share.

Not sure if it's such a fantastic deal as generic frozen pizza 330g is 90c

They have a very good offer at the mo with the €5 off €25 spend voucher. A 12 pack of beers plus some shopping gets you to the €25.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,931 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

It's about what they are worth in fairness, for me possibly the worst pizza out there.

There is no cheese on those pizza's. It is 100% analogue.
How anyone would eat them is beyond me.

More for those that like and buy them normally so.

It's a bargain at €1 no matter how you look at it, and this forum is bargain alerts after all.

Never regarded pizza as a main meal at all. More like a snack.
It's like something you'd be nibbling while waiting on the spuds to boil.

For the last few weeks when you bought something in Dunnes there was a voucher attached to your receipt with €5 off €25.

No. They are also spewing out €5 off a €25 spend as well at the till for a few weeks now. You may need to have a loyalty card though.

That's only in certain city based stores - I know Harvey's Quay in Limerick do them, but none of the bigger stores like Jetland, Childers Road or Ennis.

They had them in Letterkenny for a while too, I know because twice the people in front of me got them and I didn't, I have a loyalty card and our shopping was within a few quid of each other, no idea what the criteria was to get them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,232 ✭✭✭georgem25

They have been giving them out in Shannon too

  • Registered Users Posts: 335 ✭✭MB05

I got 2 today but both were €8 off €40. Drapery were giving them out too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,596 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver

Its such an insulting offer it would make me shop elsewhere TBH.

If they want to do it then offer something practical like teabags, sugar, half pound sausages etc.

Most of their Fantastic Friday offers are sugar-laden goop. It's just they way it is. Dunnes know their customers!

Gggrrrr. Just checked my receipt, Despite buying the fish fingers from the offer section, was charged EUR3.20 and did not discount. I bought the breaded ones, but I think the offer might just be for batter version.
