    Put it in water and swallow away. The gas thing is once it passes your teeth its done its job! after it passes the teeth your body has to deal with it then

    Actually you can swallow toothpaste and it won't do you any harm,

    Astronauts swallow toothpaste all the time, they don't use special toothpaste either

    There may be some truth in the rest of the stuff you say and I'd agree with you on the drinking water issue but the toothpaste thing is an urban legend:
