Almost exactly how I pictured KC in my "Frankfurt Dream" the night before last!!

Any weather updates from the folk there? Chilly? Calm? .... I'm packing right now.

Weather's perfect Itziger. No wind and a nice cool 8-10'C. Sadly, we'll have no excuses tomorrow!

Best of luck tomorrow everybody. I've no doubt ye will enjoy it. Be ready for a tight enough stretch at 2-3k and potential loss PC garmin coverage amongst the tall buildings there also. Really opens up after that though. Lookin forward to some race reports next week.

Ps...there's a public toilet out the back of the festhalle. It's a good place for a warm up and you'll beat the queues for the portaloos.

Nice pick-up lads. Hopefully they hold it and don't try to to push to too much too early. C'mon!

KC just ran his last 5k split 90 seconds faster than his first one (DRQ also 60 seconds faster). I would have said maybe the first 5k mark was in the wrong place but seeing Paul Duffy's splits I doubt it...I wonder was this their strategy or was there a problem?

Congestion? Mightn't been far enough up or something.

KC's 10-15k split was a good one. DQ nice and steady

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,610 ✭✭✭yaboya1

    20k:

    Krusty: 1:14:01
    DrQ: 1:17:06
    TPP: 1:20:19
    Itziger: 1:24:49
    opus: 1:19:59

    Emer: 1:53:37

KC's 10-15k split was a good one. DQ nice and steady

Then his 15-20k split was 30 seconds slower...I reckon the splits must be off
EdiT, DRQ rock steady on 19 min/5k since the first split so maybe not....

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,065 ✭✭✭dublin runner

Very solid running from KC. Dr. has been metronomic since that first 5k split.

    Krusty: 1:17:59
    DrQ: 1:21:12

TPP's and OPUS spilts also rocksteady and KC picked up the pace to previous levels between 20k and halfway. I wonder did he have a quick pitstop between 15-20k?
Just saw an interesting stat on the feed, No German Runner has gone sub 2:13 since 2000, for such a big country that's hard to believe!!
