Advice Please** ford focus

    I have a 2002 ford focus and im having a problem with my drivers window (electric) .
    The window will go down fine, but will only go just over half ways up. I have to push it up the other half of the way while holding the button. BUT when its raining it will go up fine.
    Help would be much appricated. The car failed the nct today on it.

    Motor or regulator on the way out.

    Hundred quid or so to fix or the price of a ball point one jammed in if you don't want to spend it
