Xbox Slim continuously rebooting on startup?

Hi, so my Xbox 360 keeps rebooting perpetually! Was fine last night, turned it off and went to play today, had this problem. It will boot up the Xbox 360 Logo and chime, then proceed to the "choose profile" screen. Before I get a chance to even see my profiles or choose one, the xbox reboots, and does this over and over…

It hasn't fallen or gotten a bang since last night There's no logical reason I can think of

I took out the 250GB HDD, it booted up then without a restart. It asked to install a dash board update (probably because there was no HDD inserted and the dashboard version on my MU is old), I installed it. Now it does the same thing even without the HDD inserted, perpetual startup/reboot cycle. I tried plugging out controllers, taking out disc etc, all give the same result. My brother has the same system with a 250GB HDD also, will test and see if his works in mine or if my HDD works in his, but until then, anyone have any ideas what the hell this is? :mad:
