Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I bought this one, not an expert or never used another turbo to compare, but from my point of view its adequate for what I need, the elastogel roller makes it seem a bit quieter than other magnetic turbos I have seen.

The halfords price is reasonable, it's €127 for the same turbo on CRC without the extras I think.

It's solid enough although it would be nice not to have to screw in the adjustment to mount the bike each time, some other turbos a bit up in privce have a clamping mechanism so you only have to adjust it once. I'd suspect if you wanted to do some "serious" training it might not be the best but if your are an "imporving" leisure cyclist like me, then its grand.

I kinda bought it on a whim, I had been watching Ebay and Adverts.ie for a second hand bargain and got impatient. Looking since I think I should have held on longer. There seems to be lots of "used once" secondhand turbos around (wonder why ;) )and I think I could have picked up something better/cheaper if I waited for a couple of weeks, but still happy to have had it this last week or two as weather has been so bad. Have been using it 3 times a week.
