Decent hotel Lyrath hotel side of city

Western Pomise

Lyrath hotel booked out.
Any recommendations of decent hotels that side of the city or even in city centre?
Any replies appreciated as need to book ASAP.

Holtel kilkenny / The Aspect & Springhill Court are on the outskirts .The Clubhouse is a bit dated. the rest are grand and very central.

The Newpark is on that side of town as well.

I guess if you tried the Lyrath then you were looking at the top end of the market. The Aspect is ok but a far cry from Lyrath, it's got no leisure centre, and the reception, bar and restaurant are basically 3 zones within one big open plan area.

Newpark and Kilkenny River Court are both 4-star, both with pools, the Kilkenny River Court is in town centre but still easily approachable from Lyrath end.
