And this page on facebook is great for finding normal jobs that don't require massive qualifications:

I found it most interesting that there were 141 jobs listed ...... and only 5 of them were other than internships or CE; and of those five, four required extensive experience and/or degree. Three of them were for contract positions of 6 months or 1 year.

If this is indicative of the state of the labour market in this county/country then it is no wonder our best and brightest are departing these shores in droves.

    Not very encouraging, IMO :(

You've said it, that does seem to be the sad state of the poll!

OK it is jobs bridge but they will be involved in a new project that is starting and will get training and exposure to setup and running of service software as well as other office duties.

Company will also support other training that a candidate may wish to do both in terms of time and potentially financially.

I see nothing in the advert about this.

From where is this information coming?

If it is a part of the job then why is it not in the advert?
The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following: filing documents, dealing with customers, entering purchasing invoices, answering phones in a professional manner.
Sadly I would expect the average school leaver to be fully competent in those areas.

Of course a couple of hours familiarity/training would likely be required for the specific setup/hardware/software in use.

    Skills Requirements
Full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Good Telephone Manner.

I have never ever in my whole life met anyone with FULL knowledge of MS office suite.

Why would a receptionist/file clerk require such a skill set?
    Ridiculous!

If I were in a position that I was considering applying for such 'jobs' I really could not take this advert seriously.

As advertised the 'job' is for a receptionist/filing clerk for six months .... for €50 per week from the company.

If it's a JobBridge internship, the company doesn't pay the additional €50. The Company pays nothing.

Thank you for that correction .... I misunderstood ;)

(EDIT: I failed to get the page loaded when I attempted to read it again)
    More Info:
There was an error: Data service error loading job result list: Drillthrough failed because the coordinate identified by the SELECT clause is out of range.

I don't think anyone does really. There will always be something one wont know.

I suppose the majority of receptionists need to be competent with computers and MS Office. Keep in mind that could be anything from Word, Outlook to Access databases. Alot of which firms use, but I'd say the majority would have no problem using those anyway to a certain point. You often see in technical support job vacancies they require experience with MS office...

Yes Mr. G ..... but a requirement for "full knowledge of" is a far cry from "experience with". ;) That is one of the points I was making about the advert.

To be fair there are limits on how you can advertise a position and it has to contain certain phrases. (which is why they all read alike) but I have fed back your comments and the add is being updated..

I was not aware you had any connection with the advertised post.

I'm not sure my comments deserved any real consideration .... just opinion on reading ;)

I've an old MSO Certification some where, coupled with an old MCSE+I cert, and I wouldn't qualify my level of skill of Office as being Full Knowledge

I think it is just the way it is phrased in the advert. There would be very few people that would apply that would have an 100% full knowledge of Office, though many would be able to use it quite well, yet not have full knowledge. That's what I would think anyway.

I agree with you and see where you're coming from.

I don't think anyone will ever have full knowledge of MS as it changes every other week. What I learned in 07 is different here in 13.
But understanding the fundamentals you'll catch up quick
