Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How did you find your training contract?

I have been offered a training contract on the basis I work merely for expenses for a year first. I will be paying my own blackhall fees and earning less than minimum wage for the duration of the three years. I can't help but feel I could do better than this. I applied to the big firms but only secured one interview and am waiting to hear back. Failing this, I'm at a loss of knowing what to do!

If you are in a small or medium sized firm, How did you find your training contract? Cold-calling? emailing? dropping into firms with your CV in person?
Particularly medium firms, how do I approach them? Its straight-forward with the big firms- applications every October but how does it work with the medium firms?

Any advise greatly appreciated, feeling a little overwhelmed!

If you really want a training contract take it, and then keep looking. Experience can be key and it is so much easier to get a new place with some good experience. Even if you have to go through Blackhall with them the Law Society will help you find somewhere else. Best of luck
