Two I'm playing (apart from Desert Golfing):

Horde of Heroes - a great match 3 RPG with nice pixel art. Free, but with an optional IAP to unlock the whole game and remove ads and life restrictions (worth it - try the free version and see if you like it)

Twodots - out a while for iOS, came out on Android last weekend. Free puzzle game and a great time sink.

    New Star Soccer is brilliant.

Played it so much I gpt bored of it. You should try Football Chairman. Another great game but be warned you will lose days to this game.

Yeah getting bored myself went from Barnet in League 2 to Dundalk, still we won our Europa league group whilst being 5th in the League of Ireland, so realistic then. I like it but it's difficult to get a run going without spending money. Will give Football chairman a lash later and probably curse you for recommending it to me

Playing Five Nights At Freddys. Fun game.

Time to resurrect this thread. I've played some great games lately that are worth trying.

The Sequence is a great puzzle game. Very cheap at 80c, but a free lite version with the first 13 levels is also available.

The trailer doesn't really portray how clever this is. Try the lite version.

    ---

Devious Dungeon 2 (follow up to Devious Dungeon, also worth getting!). Randomly generated levels and pretty hard.

    ---

Trick Shot is a great physics puzzler. 90 levels, then something happens to make you play all 90 levels again (but differently).

    Any other recommendations?

two dots is a great casual game that's very addictive imo.

Strongly recommend 'The Spatials.' The closest thing to what a great Star Trek game could / should have been, IMO.

    Playing Desert Bus. Breathtaking gaming.

Dashy Crashy. It's a bit of a Crossy Road rip off but still very good.

I'm catching up on a few great mobile games i missed when they first came out:

Finished the brilliant tile matching/endless runner/RPG You Must Build a Boat last week and have moved onto the enigmatic Desert Golfing. It's hypnotic and occasionally tricky.

Good game but the music is TERRIBLE, can't stand the music!!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 55,517 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Loved the music in that game. I grew up playing 8-bit games though .... different tastes I suppose. :)

    Back to New Star Soccer!

    Back to Ruzzle again.
Gone off two dots a bit - the latest levels update new mechanic is boring.

    Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes
    Hearthstone

I'm really liking the former, I've had it installed for nearly 4 months now!

Too addictive, had to delete it.

Need for Speed No Limits, which I may also have to delete in time...

One of my favorites single games:

Divinity: original sin both parts - RPG single player
Dragon age: origin and awakening (DLC) - singe player RPG with a great plot/mechanics etc.
Path of Exile - if you like hack'n'slash genre, online only
Apex legends - it's an improved version of PUBG tbh, suit to whom who loves royal battle genre
