Best I have felt this year today.Didn't wear the Garmin and ran for around 9 miles.Tomorrow is my first tempo and really looking forward to it.
Got strict instructions to go easy on my 20mile run Sunday but might do 20miles out at Donadea on Saturday while watching.

Was really tired and hip flexors tight again on the warm up today.
Headed down Phoenix park and ran 3.5miles warm up.
Session was 2 x 2miles with 90second jog in between.

Splits where 10.59 & 10.57,felt pretty good but had to work a little hard in the last mile against a head wind.
4mile cooldown back to the shop.

Whats your plan for sunday, are you running with the lads at 10am?

I will see how the body is tomorrow and ask if any of the lads are running as alot are in race season(Indoors)
Other option is to do my 20 on Saturday out at the ultra while watching.

Headed out today for my long run knowing id have no company.2miles to the park and decided to run the opposite direction for a change and Just incase and of the lads did turn up.
Turned out to be a cracker of a day and ended up taking one layer of as the sun came out.
Conditions very muddy but rather than avoid it I just ran through it and enjoyed
every mile up until 15miles.Hip flexors got a little tighter but ended up running 21miles in 2hours 21 minutes.

In fairness now, Gary's a tad handier than PtK. PtK's just looking for a substantial pb. :D

This week has been a struggle so far for a number of reasons.

1.lack of sleep due to little daughter not sleeping
    2.hip flexor
    3.motivation dipped a little

Monday: got out for 11 miles and was very very easy(8min mile pace)
Tue:did 6 miles easy with run group from the shop
Wed:had planned something short but met a mate and ran 13miles 7min pace
Hipflexor very tight going around corners and pinching abit.

Next few days easy easy and will decided fri/sat if im going to race Sunday.

Race day and was feeling pretty confident. My adductor/hip flexor seemed alot better and got down to the race in plenty of time.Glad as it took about 25minutes to get my number.

Didn't seem to be s strong field in the men's which was suprising considering the cash on offer(800,500 & 300)

I decided that I would race for 3rd and had no watch. This turned out to be a bad decision(not racing for 3rd) but I should have ran my own race.
I panicked when the lead lady was ahead and moved up a little fast in the first 1km.I felt comfortable up until about 4km and then struggled and a gap opened on the 3rd guy which was to grow until the last km when Catherina caught me,she had ran a very smart race and made her move on the hill to pull away.I decided to wait for her and help her get clear for the other women and this helped me find some pace again.
Finished up in 34.27,struggled with hip flexor after and just a short cool down.

Going to book in with a physio this week and start the 2nd pahase of training next week where I will start 2 sessions a week and one track session.
