PCWorld Ireland are offering cash back on certain tablets e.g. the new Nexus 7 at €249 BUT you can claim €30 cash back, so you are effectively paying €219. I realise that is slightly above budget but you might find another model that is closer to your ideal price.

Another good option is the 9" Nook Hd+ 16gb @ £116 + delivery of £2.95 to parcel motel then €3.50 parcel motel charge.
