Transfer window question

it seems that with a transfer window you can still negotiate / accept deals which then complete on a particular turn in the game ...
So my question is this if you :
have a budget of X,
are selling a number of players for Y,
are buying players for Z
and Z is more than the budget of X but less than X(budget)+Y(sales)
will the Y(sales) money be in on time for it to be added to X(budget) to ensure there is enough for Z(incoming transfers)?!
I'm in the above situation with the window another 3-4matches away, and my stadium not the biggest,
so while my budget currenlty covers the incomings without needing the outgoings to go through, that might not be the case when the window open ...
dont let the x+y=z put you off ....
