Hi, i was wondering could someone give me info regarding this in Trinity.

My friend said that you can do biblical studies or geology leaving cert exam and the points only will count towards courses in trinity.

Apparently there is no past exam papers at all and it seems to me this is very vague, can somebody please shed some light on this?

    Thanks

    here

At one point universities offered a Matric exam for entry, to judge the standard of the applicants. This was gradually replaced by the LC as a central state exam in Ireland, by A-levels in the UK, etc.

So now in Ireland people matriculate based on their LC results.

However, two of the subjects which TCD offered as matriculation papers didn't really have an equivalent in LC, so those two have survived. Exactly how they combine them with LC points-wise, I'm not certain.
