Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is that stat about Aguero scoring more than Tottenham true?

Wouldn't like to be AVB giving a TV interview after this.

    City at home are amazing.

Not at all optimistic about this, could see us getting absolutely destroyed. Even though it'd leave our title hopes in a real mess I'd probably take a draw right now.

Aguero has 10, Spurs have 9. In the league.

Javi Garcia to come on and further embarass Spurs :P

That Paulinho guy is just not a premier league player. He scored a couple in the Confederations Cup so he got loads of hype.

    Should give guidetti a run

Milner on, no run for Guidetti. Still good to see him make the bench.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Have to say; I can't see what all the hype about Spurs' defence has been about. We've not played all that well this afternoon, and we could be 7 up by now.

    Ahhhh Nando!

Lamela has been especially poor, don't think anything he has tried has come off. Sandro and Vertonghen Spurs' best players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

    Ahhhh Nando!
Should have been 6 there. Add in Kun's miss in the first half and this could have been embarrassing for Spurs.

Was watching the Ireland game and decided to check the score on this...5-0 what the hell is going on?

Think Roma pulled a fast one and swapped Pjanic for Lamela when Spurs sent them a fax. :pac:

Dembele has shown more fight then the entire Spurs team since he's come on.

Man City brilliant at home as always and Spurs have been terrible this season. Its hardly that much of a shock

Completely headless in defense, no composure and no plan for how to deal our passing in the middle of the pitch. Just chasing the ball really. Certain players not contributing at all. Even far less sophisticated teams have a better idea about how to slow our attacks (congest the middle, put 8 players just outside the box).

Now what the hell is going on in the rugby!

Wish I could find that post where I said Negredo would be far superior to Soldado and show how smart I am :pac:

It was always likely considering the respective teams they play for.

Granted but Negredo's game is far more suited to the EPL.

He's more physical, works harder and he actually scores goals.

That said you could put me upfront alongside Aguero and i'd probably score the odd goal here and there. Wonderful player.

    Great pass by Milner.

Spurs have conceded in one game the same smount of goals that they have scored all season.

Still think they will come good.too much quality not to.

6-0; a stroll in the park. Quick question for someone on here; if the Etihad is the ''stadium of sh!te'', what does that make Spurs ground? Sh!te Hart Lane?

    :D

    Jjaysis, some performance by City.

Not that Spurs were up to much but put to the sword by City.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,535 Mod ✭✭✭✭Amirani

That was one of the most one-sided games I've seen this season. Spurs were completely outclassed.

I'd kind of guessed that from your earlier post; ''our passing''. Hence the smiley wotsit at the end of my previous post.

Not really since soldado was brought in as the main striker while ndg has about 4 players competing for his spot

Yep, you're bang on the money. Except for the part about you scoring the odd goal of course.

Poor spurs. They just came up against a team who spent 100m in the summer. How can a small outfit like spurs complete with spending like that? It's not fair I tell ya.

a team with good strikers will punish the likes of Nastasic and Demichelis at the back

superb performance today though by City's midfield and attack

Great result. Delighted for Navas getting two goals. He really needs to feature more often. Homesickness was never a real issue at this stage of his career. Regardless of how poorly Spurs are playing atm, it's a brilliant result considering we're missing Silva and Kompany.

Well done to City, we were completely outplayed.

AVB rightly ashamed, he set up his team absolutely terribly.
